Happy Monday, Friends!,
We just got back from a weekend of camping at Amicalola Falls State Park in Northern Georgia. My legs itch from a million bug bites (I now know what bug spray I won’t recommend to you all) and after not showering for 3 days, my shower last night felt like a day at the spa. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.
About the Park. The park is 8 miles from the Applachian Trail and near the Chattahoochee National Forest. Inside the park is Amicalola Falls, which is a 729-foot waterfall. We hiked 176 steps up to view the falls, and decided to skip the 473 remaining steps up (thanks to the 24 lb toddler I had on my back). The park is great for a family weekend away with activities like zip lining, archery, hiking, a lodge, and more!
